Hitchcock Haunted Hollow

Have a "howling" good time at Hitchcock Nature Center during Hitchcock Haunted Hollow from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 17th. This all ages program is the perfect way to get outdoors & explore autumn in Iowa.

Participants may arrive anytime between 1:00 & 4:00 p.m. to pickup their treasure hunt materials. Once you have your clues in hand hit the trails to see if you can find the answers & return victorious. Costumes are welcome! Participants will be able to choose their route based on age & skill level. 

Cost is $5.00 per person age 4 & over & includes park admission. Children age 3 & under are free & do not need a reservation. Online pre-registration is requested by Wednesday, November 14th.

Please note, this event will be held outdoors & involve pedestrian travel over uneven surfaces. Strollers are not permitted. Please dress for the weather, bug spray & water are recommended. For questions not answered online please call 712-545-3283.

Due to COVID-19 the format of this program has been adjusted. 

• 6-foot distance will be maintained between individuals/family groups
• Masks requested while inside and when distancing is impossible outside
• This program will be held primarily outdoors
• Staff will wear masks when 6-foot distance is not possible or indoors
• Maximum registration has been reduced
• Participants must sign a participation waiver upon arrival

This event is not pet friendly. Please meet at the Loess Hills Lodge.

Cancellation Policy

Guests may cancel their reservation for a full refund up to 1 week (7 days) prior to the program date by calling 712-545-3283 and speaking with staff directly. Cancellations received less than 1 week (7 days) in advance of the event will not be refunded. Fees for programs cancelled by PCC due to weather or other circumstances will be refunded.
