How were the Loess Hills formed and what makes them unique? In this session, we’ll examine the building blocks of the loess hills, their composition, and how ancient climate change contributed to their formation. We’ll also talk about how the topography of the Loess Hills has contributed to the survival fo prairie species in western Iowa during this month's Homeschool in the Hills program.
Cost for this event is $5.00 per person for children ages 3 and over and covers your park entry fee. Accompanying adults and children under 3 are free and do not need a reservation.
Please meet at the Loess Hills Lodge Bluestem Room at 1 p.m.
