Fungi Finding Foray

Embark on a fungi-filled adventure with the Prairie States Mushroom Club! Join an expert guide for an afternoon fungi finding foray to learn about poisonous, edible, and unusual wild mushrooms. Whether you're a seasoned enthusiast or a first-time explorer, this event is perfect for all experience levels—no prior mushroom knowledge required. !

We recommend long pants and hiking shoes for traversing rugged terrain. Bring water to stay hydrated and bug repellent for mosquitoes and ticks. A small knife and basket/paper bag are necessities for collecting mushrooms.

The Prairie States Mushroom Club will be here until 4pm, but you do not need to stay the entire time.

All ages are welcome. Children under 16 years must be accompanied by a registered participating adult. $5 per person. Park entry fee included in registration. Please meet at the Loess Hills Lodge. No cost or registration required for accompanying children ages 2 and under.
