Wild Ones Summer Camp | Botna Bend Park

Students entering 1st & 2nd Grade will venture into the wild during this immersive camp experience packed full of outdoor fun like fort building, water exploration, hiking, outdoor games, nature crafts, & more during Wild Ones at Botna Bend Park June 11th - June 13th.

Online pre-registration is required as space is limited.

  • What: Wild Ones camp is designed for unaccompanied campers entering 1st & 2nd grade (students ages 6 to 7).
  • Where: The camp will be held at Botna Bend Park in Hancock, IA.
  • When: 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. from Tuesday, June 11th through Thursday, June 13th.
  • Pricing: The cost for this three-day camp is $75.00 per camper and includes park admission, snacks, and camp materials. 
  • Camps may be attended by students in the listed grades only. No additional students or parents, please. 
  • Campers will need to provide a sack lunch for each day of camp. We also request campers bring a refillable water bottle.

Friday the 14th will be a backup rain date.

This camp is a collaboration between Pottawattamie Conservation and the East & West Pottawattamie Soil & Water Conservation District. Early member registration is not available.

About 2024 Summer Nature Camps:

Join us in the great outdoors during Pottawattamie Conservation's 2024 Summer Nature Camps! Camps are offered for youth Pre-K through 9th Grade and are designed to get kids outside exploring, building new skills, and having fun all while cultivating a healthy connection to the natural world.

2024 programming is sponsored by the Pottawattamie Conservation Foundation.

Please note that processing fees will not be refunded. 

  • 14 Days (or More) Notice - 50% Refund
  • 13 to 8 Days Notice - 25% Refund
  • 7 Days or Less Notice - 0% Refund

To cancel your camp registration please call 712-545-3283 extension 1189 or email environmentaleducation@pottcounty-ia.gov.

*Camps with less than 10 registered campers may be canceled at the discretion of Pottawattamie Conservation. Camps canceled by Pottawattamie Conservation will be refunded 100%, including the processing fee.

Registration confirmation and event details, including important updates in the event of weather or other circumstances, will be sent to the email address entered when registering. Make sure to check junk/spam folders. Pottawattamie Conservation is not responsible for missed emails.
