Pottawattamie County Conservation is proud to give back to the community and support outdoor recreation by awarding a limited number of annual county park permits and lift tickets to qualifying organizations or events. Please keep in mind when making your request that Pottawattamie County Conservation's fiscal year begins in July. Donation or event requests must be received at least 3 weeks prior to a fundraiser or event.
The following are NOT ELIGIBLE to receive donations:
- Political campaigns or political lobbying efforts.
- Organizations or activities that do not comply with Pottawattamie County's nondiscrimination policy: It is the policy of Pottawattamie County to assure full compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, related statutes and regulation provide that no person shall on the ground of race, color, national origin, gender, age or disability be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any program or activity receiving federal financial assistance. The Civil Rights Restoration Act of 1987 amended Title VI to specify that entire institutions receiving federal funds, whether schools, colleges, government entities, or private employers, must comply with Federal civil rights laws, rather than just the programs or activities that receive federal funds.
For eligible organizations, preference is given to groups or events located in Pottawattamie County or that align with Pottawattamie County Conservation's mission.
